It seems that more and more people are telling me that they are forgetful and are having trouble focusing, it may not seem that surprising with our busy or hectic lives, but it is still a concern.
Not being able to focus is common complaint for individuals who are going through a challenging time or are grieving. The reason is because they are stressed and thus in a heightened state. When we are stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or grieving our body’s central nervous system is affected. Our sympathetic nervous systems kicks into gear and we go into fight, flight or freeze mode.
