The energies have been challenging this spring and summer because there are many streams of light entering the planet and humanity. As the light enters it flows throughout your aura and body and moves into the shadow aspect of our being. The shadows are our unresolved thoughts/emotions, patterns and beliefs that we haven’t dealt with throughout this life.
A good enology is to think of a garden hose that has dirt and derby stuck in it. When you turn on the water the flow is blocked but the water keeps pushing on the blockage until it is dislodged and then the water flows in a constant stream. Your body is experiencing the same thing as the light moves through it and the debris are your unresolved thoughts and emotions, trying to stay stuck.
Do any of these thoughts or emotions resonate with you?
- I’m not good enough.
- What did I do wrong?
- I would never be able to do that.
- Why did they do that to me?
- I’m not heard.
- I guess this is as good as my life will be.
- It’s not safe to be seen.
- If I keep quiet, then I won’t get hurt.
- I’m not loveable.
- My body aches but the doctors can’t find anything wrong with me.
- I just want to escape.
If you are noticing this within yourself, please know that you are NOT alone. Everyone is feeling something to a more or lesser degree. That is why life may seem so topsy turvy. The old systems and structures are changing, as are we and change is not always easy.
Many keep pushing their issues away because they are uncomfortable. You didn’t enjoy this feeling in the past, so you don’t want to go through it again. We try to push it down. This may have worked in the past, but it will not today – if you try to push down your unresolved issues you will struggle and suffer as a result.
It’s when we question it and attach to it that we struggle. For example, say you suddenly find yourself thinking about someone from your past who you feel treated you very badly. Or someone died and you have unresolved issues. You may go yuck, I hate this and think why is this situation coming up again? I thought I dealt with it. We begin to think about it, maybe obsessing about it and then begin to feel crappy.
What is happening is we are reliving the story and magnetizing it to ourselves. We do this for a few minutes and go, “I don’t want to deal with this.” Then we distract our self in one of many ways such as having a drink, watching TV, smoking a joint, shopping, eating, sleeping or whatever there are so many ways you can distract yourself.
So what can you do?
The biggest thing to do is be courageous and allow these thoughts and emotions to surface. The key is to become aware of what you are thinking and feeling. If an uncomfortable emotion or thought is coming up, it is coming up because it is time to let it go. If you sit quietly and breathe through it, the thought and emotion will leave.
Breathe and observe without attachment. This may seem scary that is why you need to be courageous, use your inner strength and trust that everything is going to be ok.
Another tool that I recommend are essential oils. My favourite oil to use while going through a tough situation and summoning courage is Cedarwood. Cedarwood will give you the focus and power to move through your uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. It grounds you into your body and relieves nervous tension so you will be present with the experience without being taken away by it.
Cedarwood essential oil can be used in a few different ways. The easiest is to inhale it. You can put a drop on a tissue and inhale it or put a few drops in a diffuser and have it running throughout the day.
When you have time, sit quietly and focus on your breath. As you relax into the body inhale the Cedarwood essential oil. Set your intention to allow the negative situation to leave. Continue to inhale and relax.
Now, be the observer and watch as the situation comes up and let it go. Just observe it leaving and bless it because it was a learning experience. This may take a few times to go through but keep persistent because this technique works.
This is your life! Are you going to be a small player in it or the star?
It takes courage to take control and allow these old patterns and beliefs to come up and let them go. We are being called to remember who we really are. To step into the life that our soul is calling out for us to do.
My focus for August has been about being courageous in life. It takes courage to listen to our hurts but once we do our truths are revealed.
